Achievement-based Objectives

  • Grounded ourselves on where we find meaning in this work
  • Reviewed Restorative Justice principles within the context of the panel process from initial contact through to completion
  • Used a framework to reflect on current practice and identify opportunities to move toward doing “with”
  • Illustrated what key stages of the Diversion process (i.e., Intake, panel to check-in meetings, closure) look like along a restorative continuum–from not yet restorative to high application.
  • Identified and practiced using questions to draw out impact
  • Develop/Select indicators of high application of Restorative Principles at key stages of the Diversion process
  • Practiced applying what was learned in a mock panel process (not a role-play)
  • Planned to collect data to know whether participants felt the principles were applied
  • Action planning
